Minneapolis Boiler Repair, Metal Fabrication & Welding Safety From Moorhead Machinery & Boiler Co.

Corporate Safety Policy

The purpose of Moorhead Machinery & Boiler Company is to provide quality service to the industrial and commercial business sectors with primary attention to the power generation industry.  This end is achieved through the efforts of people.  Our concern, then, is twofold: people and equipment.  Our many years of operation have confirmed that our greatest asset is our employees.  Without you, we would cease to be.   Therefore, we are proclaiming your safety to be of paramount importance to our company.  Our philosophy will be that under no conditions will the safety and health of our employees be second to production.  Further, we realize that all forms of waste are counterproductive to our operation.  Accidents are a form of waste and therefore must be eliminated.  Based on the foregoing factors, it is evident that safe practices support our humanitarian motives and business economics.  Moorhead Machinery & Boiler Company will maintain a safety program conforming to the highest safety standards.  This program will be controlled by our Safety Committee and administered by our Safety Coordinator.

Every employee must continually strive to improve our safety performance on a day-to-day basis with the goal of NO INJURIES.  To attain this goal we will:

  1. Hold accountable managers, supervisors, and employees for complying with established safety rules and procedures.
  2. Identify and analyze hazards associated with the job, develop safe procedures and provide adequate training.
  3. Freely communicate safety concerns and ideas.
  4. Thoroughly investigate all injuries for the purpose of initiating corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  5. Enforce the standards we have set.

To the greatest degree possible, management will provide all mechanical and physical facilities and training required to maintain the highest standards of safety; also, to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act.  We will insist on complete cooperation of every supervisor and employee.  Only through such cooperative efforts can a safety record in the best interests of all be established and preserved.
